Our friends at The Belgium-Hong Kong Society are organizing a free webinar event to talk about the FinTech industry in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong’s financial services sector accounts for over 21% of Hong Kong’s GDP. The FinTech Industry (financial technology) has now become a priority of the HKSAR government, with impressive results. Hong Kong as a welcoming and increasingly diverse FinTech hub will be discussed in detail by a panel of leading figures in the Industry.
Mr. Alexander De Beir, Chairman of BHKS, will start with an introduction. The webinar will then be led by Mr. Jame DiBiasio, founder and editor of DigFin. The head of InvestHK’s FinTech department, Mr. King Leung, will set the scene about the FinTech sector and talk about the support and new initiatives by the HKSAR government for FinTech entrepreneurs. Mr. Benjamin Quinlan, head of the FinTech association in HK, will discuss the key opportunities and challenges faced by FinTech entrepreneurs setting up businesses in HK.
Ms. Virginie Van der Donckt, Director of Credit at Velotrade and part of our BLCC Business Community in Hong Kong, will give a practical perspective as a FinTech company operating out of Hong Kong’s Cyberport for the last 4 years.
