Thank you to everyone who joined us for a night of drinks and fun! Yesterday, on 18 August, we hosted our Happy Hour Networking event at Grappa’s Cellar in collaboration with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. The event saw approximately 50 guests, either a member of the BLCC, DutchCham or neither, enjoying drinks and networking with one another.
The event officially started at 7:00PM but already saw people arrive as early as 6:30PM. The majority of people arrived around 10 minutes past 7PM and most began taking advantage of the all-night-long happy hour prices, drinking beers, wines and gins.
Speaking to many of the attendees, it was clear that many of them had never met before this event. They talked about how great this opportunity to network was and how good it felt to finally be able to have physical events after the extended period of pandemic restrictions. Judging by some conversations, it was clear that some people had just made long-lasting friendships.
Despite the event officially ending at 9:30PM, over half of the attendees remained in Grappa’s Cellar until the restaurant staff was forced to kick us out due to government regulations. Afterward, a smaller number of attendees still wishing for the night to continue went to Belgos for one last round of drinks.
