HKID card replacement: required for all

Notice to all HKID card holders: the HK Immigration Department has launched a new design + improved safety features for the card.

All HKID holders will need to replace their card; even if you only recently got your card, even it still looks nice, even if it still worked the last time you used it when traveling…it needs to be replaced.

The replacements are organized in tranches by birth year of the card holder. Several birth years have already been up for replacement. Did you miss it? No worries, call the Immigration Department today or go online to make an appointment to get your new card.
