Head of European Desk, Commercial Banking

For our branch in Hong Kong, we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivating talent to join our team as Head of European Desk.

As one of the senior members of our commercial banking team reporting directly to our Head of Commercial Banking, you use your knowledge of commercial banking and your devotion to be the reference banker for your customers.

 Overview of the Role:

Combining your overall knowledge of banking and of the local environment with an in-depth knowledge of your customers, you strive to become THE long term financial partner of your customers. You share insights, challenge, help and connect your customers. You assist your customers to do better business and to strengthen their future.

You act as One Team with colleagues across borders to deliver a seamless service and best in class experience to your customers.

You are the first line risk manager. Amongst others this entails that you defend your customers with comprehensive assessments of their sector, activity and achievements.

You are part of a team dedicated to supporting our customers and to achieve various common goals in line with the bank’s business strategies and policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with a major in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or Banking from reputable international university; MBA graduate or postgraduate degree in finance definitely is a plus;
  • At least 5 years relationship management experience in corporate or commercial banking, ensuring sound and all-rounded knowledges of major commercial banking products;
  • Sound track record of working with European-based corporates and their overseas subsidiaries in Greater China is a plus;
  • Skilled in credit analysis and financial / business / ESG / KYC risk assessments in a sales context;
  • Strong sense of customer centricity and ability to provide timely and responsive advice in professional ways;
  • Good communicator with strong interpersonal & presentation skills, able to work tactfully with all stakeholders;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is a must. Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), Dutch or French is definitely an advantage.

Assistant Customer Services Manager/ Officer, Commercial Banking

For our branch in Hong Kong, we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivating talent to join our team as Assistant Manager of Customer Service Desk.

 Overview of the Role:

You are responsible for co-ordination, administration, and handling of corporate customer services including but not limited to bank account opening / maintenance, on-line banking, on-boarding corporate customer KYC check, customer due diligence periodic / ad-hoc review, customer’s information system maintenance.

You handle customer’s enquiries of various kinds including but not limited to payment / remittance, bills, etc. and provide service solution with focus on customer’s centricity.


You prepare various of MIS reports for the bank’s management.


You also have the opportunity to interact with customer and has to work very closely with Relationship Managers on client on-boarding, KYC reviews, account maintenances and other related matters. 

Requirements:  

  • University graduate with a major in Business / Commercial Law, Business, Economics, Finance or Banking preferably;
  • You should have minimum 3 years of relevant commercial banking experiences and possesses knowledges of general banking documentation, commercial banking products, relationship management, KYC and CTF/AML policies / guidelines;
  • Good CTF/AML and operational risk awareness;
  • Be detail-minded, accountable and plays the role as a good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills; 
  • High proficiency in English and Cantonese / Mandarin (spoken and written) is a must. Any other European languages e.g. Dutch or French is definitely a plus; 
  • Candidate(s) with lesser working experiences in the field would be considered as Customer Service Officer.
